Position: Finance Manager

The Finance Manager provides the overall direction of the Foundation’s financial operations and is responsible for managing all financial aspects including planning and budgeting, auditing, reporting, and implementation of policies and internal control systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide management and the board of trustees with financial information and reports necessary for managing current operations and rational planning and decision-making;
- Develop and recommend strategies for financial growth and sustainability;
- Regularly review financial systems, policies, and procedures and monitor adherence to these;
- Supervise the preparation of monthly financial reports, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting;
- Review financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures and Donor’s Agreement provisions and guidelines;
- Review reconciliation statements and financial reports such as bank reconciliation statements, inter-fund reconciliation statements, cash flow statements, monthly expenditure reports, billing statements, and other reports required by the management and donors;
- Assist the Executive Director in the preparation of project cost proposals and the implementation of a budgetary and allocation system;
- Direct and supervise preparation for annual statutory and project audits; and
- Perform other tasks as may be required by the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- With a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Account (CPA);
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in financial management, tax compliance, audit and reporting procedure, and operation role supporting USAID and international donor projects is a plus;
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, financial reporting standards, and financial management processes and procedures;
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure without compromising working standards and delivering high-quality results;
- Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications;
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to solve complex problems; and
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and unquestionable integrity.
